We pray that all is well for you in your local communities.  The USA's economy is currently receading at 6-8%, in excess of that of the depression in 1931, but we are still not calling it a depression.  I wanted to post a note on this not relating to prophecy, but to our own situation.  The costs of operating this and other sites over the years have been born primarily out of my personal income with little to no support from the community.  Due to my own finances, I am in a situation where I may have to take the sites off line for an extended period.  My income provides support for over 20 people, several who are disabled.  My ministry to them is in danger of failing as we are 60 days behind in our mortgage.  My personal take-home income has been cut this year by nearly $800 per month.  My wife lost $400 in hers.  While we struggled through last year, barely keeping afloat, this year we are running with $1200 less personal income than last year.  Although we have embedded advertising into the sites to produce a revenue stream, the income is amounts to pennies a day.  We do not intend to bring the site down permenantly, but may need to shut our servers down for a period of time to save on electricity and cut our commercial internet connection.  Please pray that Elohim provides the resources necessary to sustain our home as there are a dozen children and others that will have no home if we lose ours.

Shalom,

Rabbi Netzar ben Yaacov

The Lies of Christmas PDF Print E-mail

1. Christmas is the birthday of Messiah
Messiah Yeshua was born during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), not on December 25. It is this celebration that the prophets say will be kept by all nations in the Kingdom of Messiah.
2. Christmas is a holy day
Only G-d can make a day holy, by the utterance of His mouth. No where has G-d proclaimed Christmas (December 25) to be a holy day. December 25 is a day of the pagan feast called Saturnalia. Pope Julius declared December 25 to be \"Christmas Day\" in 359 A.D. Those who adhere to this, even unkowingly, are accepting the authority of an apostate church.
3. Santa Claus is good
Santa Claus, or the St. Nicholas legend, is a fantasy that substitutes the benevolent Santa for the benevolent G-d Most High as our Father. To substitute anything or anyone for G-d is idolatry.
4. Christmas is about giving
Christmas time, by the actions of people, is about buying and giving in order to get. It fosters reciprocal greed. It falsely teaches children that they have a right to their covetous desires (\"What do you want for Christmas?\") and a right to marketed toys (ie: \"Toys for Tots\"). G-d commanded to teach children His Word (\"You shall not covet\" \"The L-RD is my Shepherd, I shall not want\" \"Give and it shall be given to you\") all year long.
5. Christmas is not based in evil
Christmas means \"Christ-Mass\" which is the Catholic service of performing the death of Messiah over again, and physically ingesting His actual body and blood (according to their belief). This is an abominable idea, which is totally unbiblical and akin to cannabalistic thinking (pagan cannabals eat human flesh because they think they will take on the traits of the person eaten).
6. The tree and holly are innocent decorations
The celebration of the Saturnalia tree and holly branches is rooted in the ancient pagan practice of the Asherah (goddess of good luck) poles (Jeremiah. 10:10) in which a tree is cut down, put in the house and decorated for good luck and hope that winter will be short. In ancient times, as offerings to and from the gods, gifts were put under the tree. Today the effect is the same as the family bows down to the tree to get the gifts, which they cannot open until the unholy day of December 25! Even the old pagan \"fertility balls\" are put on the modern tree.
7. Christmas causes care for others
Police reports every year show that \"Christmas time\" is the worst for robberies, assaults, missing persons and suicides. Clinics show an increase in depression and other mental illnesses during this season. For conscience sake the homeless and destitute may be given meals and toys, while they are mostly forgotten the rest of the year. In a sense these needy people are \"paid off\" once per year so that they may be ignored the rest of it. Is it not cruelty to fill the stomach of the starved, then leave them again to their hunger pains?
8. Christmas causes people to come to the L-RD
Which L-RD? The One of the Scriptures, or some corrupted, man made invention? Do people then begin celebrating according to G-d\'s Word? Is their heart changed to seek out all righteousness, or have they just fallen in love with the \"spirit\" of the season? Remember, the true Holy Spirit of G-d only obeys and promotes the Scriptural Holy Days of the Most High. So what \"spirit\" then is the \"Spirit of Christmas\". By their fruit you shall know them.
